Wells, ME (04/26/2024) — Maya Eichorn of Kennebunk Maine has been named York County Community College's 2024 Student of the Year. Maya was selected by faculty and staff at YCCC for her academic success as wells as her campus and community involvement.

Since earning her High School Equivalency Diploma, Maya has worked with the League of Women Voters of Maine to increase civic engagement on campus and is now honored to serve on their board of directors. Maya is the president of the Student Government Association at YCCC and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, with a 4.0 GPA.
